About the Position
To assist the Kitchen Supervisor in the operation of the kitchen of the Lifestyle Center. This entails maintaining an attractive, comfortable, and clean environment in which Lifestyle Center guests, staff volunteers, and trainees can dine. The individual should have a real passion for God's health message, and for preparing and serving appealing, nutritious, plant-based food to those who are looking to maintain or improve their health of body, mind and spirit.
What you will be doing
- Assist in the preparation of daily meals for the Lifestyle Center, trainees, and staff (this includes hot meals and salad items)
- Maintain consistent cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen area and dining hall
- Provide proper storage for left-over items
- Assist with food prep for following day
- Clean kitchen and dining hall after meal services
- Dispose of trash
- Assist in monitoring inventory for food and supplies needed for all kitchen functions
- Assist with proper storage of all food purchased
- Assist with proper storage of all supplies ordered
- Assist with training work-study personnel as needed
